The Steel division is vertically integrated with in-house processes such as heat treat and electropolish, providing the customer with high quality castings in over 38 different alloys.  GSC Steel has exhibited technical leadership in the industry in thin-walled, nuclear, aerospace, and air-melt Inconel castings.  Maximum pour weight is 125 lbs. and the maximum part envelope is 20" x 16" x 12".  The Steel Division is dedicated to lean manufacturing techniques, using  a pull system that focuses on controlling and accelerating product flow while identifying and managing process constaints with the goal of eliminating inventory and waste.

The Steel Division utilizes small manufacturing cells throughout the plant to facilitate single piece flow and eliminate waste.  Lean manufacturing techniques are used to improve cycle time and minimize production and development costs.
